We are a musical society based in the Isle of Man and are celebrating our 30th year. For more information about us, see our facebook page.
For many years we performed a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta at the Gaiety Theatre in Douglas every October.
Unfortunately Gilbert & Sullivan operettas no longer attract audiences and the Society lost money on several productions so the decision was taken to perform other musicals.
We continue to perform Gilbert & Sullivan concerts in the Spring of each year and this year, being our 30th anniversary, we were accompanied by the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra.
The orchestra played the overture to Iolanthe, the March of the Peers from Iolanthe, The Lost Chord with soloist Karen Elliott, and Pineapple Poll. The second half of the concert was a performance of Trial by Jury accompanied by the orchestra.
Our main show this year will be Sweet Charity to be performed at the Gaiety Theatre from October 16th to 21st 2017. Tickets will be on sale after TT week in June.
